STRIKKEHJØRNET HAS GOT NEW WAYS OF THINKING ABOUT SHOP INTERIORS

The Knitting Corner

Jette Jensen is behind The Knitting Corner in Allinge, which she has run for several years. As an independent shop owner, she clearly feels how the Restart Business on the High Street project has given her input and new inspiration, while at the same time she has also been confirmed that many of the things she does are right.

Through on-the-job training and a micro-mentoring programme, Strikkehjørnet has had a visit from a visual merchandiser who has provided tips and tricks for the shop layout and window display. The choice of colours in the shop, product placement and a focus on good interior design that creates a sense of calm and clarity have been central. Jette has also received tips on how to build up her window displays in new ways. The programme has been highly educational and has contributed to even greater job satisfaction for Jette, as her fingers are itching to make the most of these new focus areas in the future. Customers have also noticed that the shop has been given a facelift and have praised the change, so it is fair to say the programme has had a great effect.
