Every day at Business Center Bornholm we work to strengthen local businesses through mentoring, workshops and networking events.
In 2025, 123 businesses helped to support our initiative. We are extremely grateful for this commitment, as it is of great importance to our work in developing and supporting Bornholm's business community.
All contributions are important. They help us to maintain our efforts for Bornholm-based businesses and entrepreneurs. And they give us opportunities to explore new projects that strengthen our local businesses. Support from the business community also signals to local decision-makers in the municipal council that you appreciate the service we offer.

Sparring and events that make a difference
As a business or entrepreneur on Bornholm, you have access to three key offerings with us:
1:1 sparring – when you need peer-to-peer sparring
In a mentoring session, as an owner or leader you get the opportunity to discuss everything from operations and idea development to financing, strategy and marketing. It is a valuable opportunity to get guidance and support to make decisions that strengthen your company's growth and development. Events and networking meetings close to your everyday life
Every year we hold a series of workshops and networking meetings on topics such as the green transition, digitalisation, sales and management. Because the events take place on Bornholm, both managers and employees can easily take part in relevant skills development – without having to spend time and resources on travel. A strong community for entrepreneurs
We also offer targeted workshops and networking for the island's entrepreneurs and start-ups. An important resource when finding your way as a new business on the island.
Strategic initiatives that deliver results
Your support helps make it possible for us to take part in larger projects and programmes that have a direct impact on the business community on Bornholm. We initiate, run and participate in strategic initiatives that stem from concrete needs within the business community. In 2025, among other things, we have been the driving force or a partner in the following projects:
- Bornholm Newcomer Service
- Baltic Energy Island – Strengthened SMEs
- Baltic Energy Island – Increased innovation capacity in SMEs
- Baltic Energy Island – Green qualifications
- Bornholm Tourism – All year round and across the whole island

Business Council – the voice of the business community on Bornholm
On Bornholm, we have a Business Council that acts as a mouthpiece for local businesses in general discussions regarding framework conditions and strategic development on the island.
The council consists of 10–11 representatives from various sectors. Four times a year, they meet to discuss topics such as business strategy, framework conditions and current challenges affecting the local business community. Based on these discussions, they provide concrete recommendations to decision-making bodies on how business conditions can be improved in order to create the best possible conditions for growth and job creation on Bornholm.

As a member, you are invited, among other things, to our annual New Year's reception, where Bornholm's business community meets for networking, inspiration and celebration of the new year's opportunities.
In August 2026, we look forward to welcoming all our members to yet another member event, which offers great opportunities for networking, inspiration and new connections across the Bornholm business community.
You are also invited to selected events of importance to the local business community – for example the debate on business policy arranged by Bornholm Business Council in collaboration with DI Bornholm and TV2 Bornholm, which was broadcast live ahead of the municipal elections in November 2025.
