Business Lighthouse II, EU-supported project
Baltic Energy Island - Styrkede SMV'er is an EU-funded project that both highlights opportunities and supports small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in realising and exploiting the potential of Business Hub Bornholm.
Through a digital roadmap and individual courses, we help you, among other things, to gain an overview, adapt, and develop your business, so that in future you can become a key player in the energy island, the offshore industry, and the offshore wind sector.
Who can take part?
If your business fits under the EU definition of an SME, we invite you to contact us regarding our individual business tracks and trade groups. The project is open to both existing and new businesses that wish to become subcontractors for the energy island, the offshore industry either in connection with load-out or servicing of offshore wind, etc.

A. 1. Tailored programmes: Gain access to individually tailored business programmes with relevant advisers who help you to adapt, professionalise and develop your company, enabling you to realise the significant potentials in the Bornholm Business Lighthouse.
A.2. Excursions and networking: Take part in excursions that give you insight into new business opportunities and strengthen your network. We build bridges between business beacons in Denmark to promote collaboration and knowledge exchange.

B. Tender overview
B.1. Digital Roadmap – Bornholm 2030: Get an overview of tenders and tasks related to the energy island, the wind farm and the island's other construction projects through our digital platform ”Roadmapping Bornholm 2030 - tenders and tasks - Energy Island Bornholm”. The digital platform can support companies' strategic considerations regarding investments in machinery, skills development and new potential business areas.
B.2. Professional groups: Join the professional groups within "Transport/Logistics/Warehousing", "Construction & Engineering", "Housing/Personnel" and "Other Services". These groups are working to prepare companies and society for the many tasks and opportunities that arise in connection with the establishment of the energy island.

Business Lighthouse Bornholm
Business Lighthouse Bornholm is part of a larger national strategy in Denmark that aims to create regional business development by establishing various lighthouses (or "lighthouse projects") in selected regions. These lighthouses focus on specific sectors or industries where the regions have particular strengths or potentials.
For Bornholm, the business lighthouse is focused on energy and particularly green energy, which includes the development of energy islands, offshore wind energy, sustainable energy solutions and associated industries. The aim of Business Lighthouse Bornholm is to attract investments, create new jobs, support local businesses and promote innovation within the green energy sector.
The initiative is to help Bornholm utilise its unique geographical and natural resources, which are ideal for renewable energy projects. By doing this, it is hoped that Bornholm will become a central player in Denmark's green transition, while at the same time creating economic growth and development in the region.
