Residential College Bornholm is a collaboration between Bornholm-based businesses, Danish universities and research environments with the aim of strengthening innovation, the green transition and skills development on Bornholm.

Through the initiative, students and researchers visit the island as part of their teaching, work placements, semester projects and dissertations, collaborating with local businesses on specific challenges and development opportunities. By the end of 2028, around 600 students from four universities are expected to participate in programmes on Bornholm.

For businesses, Residential College Bornholm offers a unique opportunity to access new knowledge, current research results and highly qualified students who can contribute fresh perspectives and solutions. At the same time, the collaboration gives companies the opportunity to build relationships with the specialists of the future and increase their visibility among potential employees, which can strengthen the recruitment of highly educated labour to Bornholm.

Residential College Bornholm thus helps to strengthen Bornholm's position as an attractive place for education, innovation and business development – particularly within green energy and future sustainable solutions.
