360-degree view and input for a newly opened shop

Handing over GEIG

AB hånd is a relatively new shop in Svaneke, which is why the 'Genstart Erhverv i Gadeplan' (GEIG) project was an obvious opportunity to acquire knowledge, both theoretical and hands-on, that can be used in daily life. Owner and ceramicist Anette Bjerregaard has taken part in a number of workshops in connection with the project, focusing on topics such as social media, advertising, photography, sales techniques and shop merchandising. As the owner of a small shop, there are many new roles to be filled. Anette Bjerregaard throws and hand-builds the utility items and one-off pieces in porcelain clay that are sold in the shop herself. She therefore wears several hats during the course of a day, and the workshops in particular have strengthened her competencies in running a shop and keeping an eye on sales and marketing.

Through the project, Anette Bjerregaard has received mentoring on her visual identity and a push to also get a logo and a sign made for the shop. She has also received advice on how to use her time optimally so that there is a balance between production and opening hours in the shop. AB hånd has likewise received mentoring on pricing and the development of sales statistics, i.e., the collection of data that can be used to plan future productions.
