Local owner-managers and entrepreneurs receive a helping hand in the financing jungle

Press release, 27 January 2025.

How your business can cut its electricity bill

Erhvervshus Hovedstaden and Business Center Bornholm are focusing on the financial challenges and opportunities facing potential business buyers and sellers, as well as local entrepreneurs and owner-managers, through a full-day event dedicated to financing. On 4 February, the doors will open to not one, but two events aimed at providing insight and advice regarding financing.

From dream to reality with the right funding

The morning session from 8 am to 1 pm is tailored for entrepreneurs and owner-managers who want financing to realise their ambitions. "Today's programme is packed with information and tools that can help any entrepreneur to better understand the financial challenges and opportunities that exist," says Ebbe Mølsted-Møller, Senior Business Developer at Erhvervshus Hovedstaden. He continues: "Our goal is to make participants better prepared to handle the fundamental financial aspects of their business."

A panel consisting of entrepreneurs such as Pilegård Cideri, MindMind, the next generation of JF Data and investors Lars Espersen and Rasmus Lund, alongside sessions with financing experts from COOP Crowdfunding and DanBan, will give participants an in-depth understanding of various funding avenues.

Preparation for the purchase or sale of a business

The afternoon programme, from 14:00 to 17:00, is dedicated to anyone considering buying or selling a business. Here, experts from banks, EIFO, and local foundations will share knowledge regarding financing strategies and opportunities that are crucial for a successful transaction.

Christa Lodahl, Head of Business at Business Center Bornholm, highlights the importance of the event: "It is crucial that we support our local business community by offering them resources and knowledge that can guide them through the funding jungle in connection with the purchase and sale of a business. After all, we most of all want our established local businesses to remain on Bornholm. And that requires us to ensure that they can be sold on to new, fresh talent when the time comes for business owners to retire or start something new."

”However, a successful ownership transition requires good and timely planning. Therefore, it is never too early to begin the process – preferably as early as five years before you expect to sell," adds Ebbe Mølsted-Møller.
