Welcome to a morning meeting for Bornholm business owners and owner-managers.
Most business owners spend their everyday lives on customers, employees, operations and development. But when do you actually stop and ask: Is the business ready for the next phase?
Perhaps a generational handover will one day be on the cards. Perhaps an employee or partner will become a co-owner. Perhaps a buyer will come along. Or perhaps you simply wish to create a stronger business that is less dependent on its owner. What all these scenarios have in common is that the best opportunities typically arise for businesses that have prepared well in advance.
At this morning event, Business Center Bornholm and Erhvervshus Hovedstaden will focus on the strategic, legal, financial and human considerations involved when a business is to be developed, handed over or prepared for new opportunities.
You will meet both experts and business leaders from Bornholm, who will share their experiences and reflections from real-life ownership transitions, acquisitions and new ownership structures.
You will get answers to, among other things:
- How do you make the business less dependent on the owner?
- When should you start thinking about the next phase of the business?
- What creates value in the company?
- What needs to be in place legally, financially and organisationally?
- How do you prepare without necessarily being on the way to selling?
- What experiences have other Bornholm-based businesses had?
You don't need to be on the verge of selling. The day isn't about selling your business. It's about creating more options for action. The businesses that are in the strongest position when opportunities arise are often the ones that began preparations before it became necessary.
